Rentals & Lessons

CONDITIONS AND SAFETY:

SURFBOARD RENTALS ARE ALWAYS CONDITION-DEPENDENT. Please call the shop to confirm we are currently renting.

 Of course we want to get you outfitted for a surf, but we WILL NOT rent any gear if we think conditions are too dangerous to paddle out on our rental equipment. Ocean Beach and the surrounding beaches are often very dangerous with rip currents and extremely powerful surf. Please call the shop before you visit us to ask if conditions are right for you and to find out if we are renting gear. Thank you for understanding!

RENTAL LOGISTICS:

We rent for a period of up to 24 hours, so you can pick up your gear the afternoon before an early morning session.

Customers can keep rented equipment with them overnight during longer rental periods.

Alternatively, customers can return equipment by 5:30PM and fill out a new rental form every day (10:00AM or later) if keeping rented equipment isn't feasible. We're open 7 days a week.

CHANGING RECOMMENDATIONS:

We recommend using a towel or a changing poncho, and a changing mat by the Sunset Dunes Promenade for the most comfortable changing experience. A towel and a big plastic tote works as well.

SURFBOARD RENTAL RATES:

Under the right conditions, we rent a wide variety of soft-tops, shortboards, fun-boards, hybrids, and longboards.

Soft-Top Surfboards (7'-9'): 

$25/day.

Hard-Top Surfboards (5'10" - 9') :

 $35/day.

WETSUIT RENTAL RATES:

We rent 4/3 wetsuits, stock all adult sizes, and most kids' sizes.

Wetsuits:

 $15/day.

BODYBOARD RENTAL RATES:

$10/day
