Luke Westbrook is a very talented guitar player, multi instrumentalist, composer and improviser dedicated to finding his musical voice within an expanding cultural and sonic landscape. Early exposure to jazz through educational programs allowed Luke to participate in the Monterey Jazz Festival, and the Grammy in the Schools programs as part of the San Francisco Jazz Festival, where he worked with artists like Joshua Redman and Roy Hargrove.

Wet Wednesday the 25th of Nov

Thanksgiving Eve Meltie for this Wet Wednesday the 25th- it's a Benefit for Alemany Farm and celebration of bartender Jeff's birthday (why does he want to work on his birthday, I dunno, but come wish him a happy one). The night will feature:

-$5 raffle for a Las Olas Surfboard (a biofoam 7'0'' rounded pin single fin) pl...us prizes from Java Beach Cafe, Timbuk2, Red Vic Movie House, Mocha 101, the Pizza Place on Noriega and Jaimal Yogis, author of Saltwater Buddha.

-Shorts by the Aqua Surf Shop Crew (Silvin Morgan, Brian Musial, Aleks Petrovitch and Merle) including their classic zombie/red neck surf flicks.

-Jeff's Birthday celebration festivities (anything could happen - 2007's bday brought a parade of Jeff look-alike's to the bar)

-DJ Paul spinning, soul, funk, dub, breaks, hip hop and reggae.

-Free food

-No admission

Sierra Nevada will also donate $1 for every pint of their beer sold and a portion of the bar sales and tips will also be donated.

Alemany Farm grows organic fruit and vegetables for San Francisco's diverse communities, hosts field trips and organizes educational workshops to get City residents closer to their food. Loose Connections II

AQUA SURF SHOP PRESENTS LOOSE CONNECTIONS II
San Francisco, CA—Aqua Surf Shop is pleased to announce the opening of Loose Connections II, a special exhibition featuring the work of eleven photographers united by their art, their friends, and the ocean. The show begins on Friday, December 4th at Pkirkeby Fine Art & Framing in Potrero Hill.

Rob Brodman, Scott Eggers, Paul Ferraris, Art Gimbel, Mark Gordon, Dickson A. Keyser, Jake Johnson, Matt Proehl, Adam Warmington, Sachi Cunningham, and Elizabeth Pepin are all Bay Area residents and photographers who share a deep connection to Ocean Beach. They have captured this landscape, and the special community to which they belong, in their personal imagery. Loose Connections II offers viewers a unique opportunity to see through the eyes and lenses of these ten committed surfers as they pursue a life of wave riding in an urban setting surrounded by natural beauty. 25% off all sales from the exhibit will go to benefit San Francisco Baykeeper.

Catch a glimpse of the surfing lifestyle—and all the adventures that this passionate community experiences—at Aqua’s opening party for Loose Connections II on Friday, December 4th, from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. Feast on Mexican food from an on-site taco truck while live DJs supply the evening’s soundtrack.
